Decided to take Mimi's Cafe up on their offer on Sunday afternoon. It was absolutely more than I expected. The restaurant offered aesthetic appeal with a warm engaging atmosphere. There was dim lighting and soft big swing music playing in the background matching the theme throughout the restaurant. The waiter was friendly and attentive and the menu offered a variety of interesting meals. Since it was a breakfast offer, I tried the stuffed blue crab cake with avocado egg dish melted in a couple of cheeses topped with bacon. My guest ordered the chipolte egg burrito stuffed with shredded beef wrapped in cheese, and sun dried tomatoes with garnish. Both meals accompanied a side of roasted red potatoes and came with a beverage. They both were presented well and the quality of taste was beyond average. The portion was heavy and more than enough especially considering the pricing not to mention the large lemon cheesecake extremely fresh muffin that came with the meal. The bread basket served prior to the meal contain carrot bread/cake and sour dough rolls with butter. After having my meal, I knew right away I would return again. I think I had discovered a hidden gem and look forward to trying something new during my next visit. My overall rating for Mimi's is 4.5 out of 5 stars.
